@The Japan-Hong Kong Content Collaboration Symposium, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Japan Association for International Promotion of the Moving Image (UNIJAPAN), was held on October 20, 2009. Casio Entertainment Executive Director Hiroyuki Seshita participated as a panelist, and together with Mr. Fred Wang, representative from Hong Kong, discussed the new business model that took advantage of Hong Kong, using the CG animation film project gFLY, BABY FLYh currently being developed as an Asian collaborative production, as an example.

@Under the gCloser Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA)h, Hong Kong enjoys preferential treatment in entering into the huge Mainland market, and is viewed by the global entertainment industry as a gateway to the great Chinese market. The symposium called for a completely new film production framework where talented Asian creators like Mr. Fred Wang from China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand, would gather to produce a movie that incorporates indigenous Asian tradition and folklore. |
